It was a delightful trip to the Sacramento studio of Maija Peebles-Bright organized by the Painting Salon and Guerrero Gallery on April 8, 2018.
The textured verdant hues of this green mountain engage my eyes to reveal upon further inspection, spectral green felines playfully surrounding a trio of exotic birds...
... Line work within skin tones creating more texture, indigo armadillos within a blue heart, penguins parading in lines, all these layers on top of layers create, for me, a dizzying sense of infinity in her work.
