SURREALISM CENTENNIAL AT FAR OUT GALLERY

Celebrate 100 years of Surrealism at the Far Out Gallery in the outer Sunset.

The Surrealism Centennial show features wild work by many San Francisco Artists and runs June 14 to July 28. The reception is July 13, 1-6pm with Artist Talk at 2pm. 

Far Out Gallery is at 3004 Taraval @40th Avenue. FOG is open Thursday-Sunday 12-6pm and by appointment 415-463-5537.

WOODCUTS & CARVINGS AT HATCH MIDWIFERY

To the left is a woodcarving of the band, Grass Widow. It features hands braiding grass and it is one of 9 pieces by Nathalie Roland on currently on display at Hatch Midwifery in the Inner Sunset district.

Hatch Midwifery is a new women’s health space. Read about their mission here and stop in 637 Irving Street in the Sunset to check it out.

SCRABBEL FAN, SCRABBEL FAM

Recently Scrabbel presented their newsest project at the 4 Star Theatre in San Francisco, Richmond district. The program included 6 songs played live and a film screening portion with shorts for each of the new songs in the “Playing in Fog” collection.

The All Star band lineup led by Dan Lee on guitar, featured Scrabbel’s OG drummer Becky Baron (#sign, Kids on a Crime Spree) on drums, Invisible Cities’ Sadie Contini on bass, Scrabbel Fam Aya and Ami on keys, xylophone, vocals and additional percussion.
